UMUSIC HOTEL MADRID TAKES GUESTS BACK TO THE 80S WITH AQUELLOS AÑOS LOCOS EXHIBITION

Curated by the creative minds behind Lucha de Gigantes, the exhibition dives into the era’s defining cultural moments—from the synth-heavy anthems that still make us moonwalk, to the cinematic adventures that shaped a generation. Visitors can relive the energy, freedom, and creative explosion that made the 80s a cultural force that endures to this day.

“Aquellos Años Locos is a love letter to the 80s,” said [UMusic Hotel Madrid spokesperson]. “It’s a time-traveling experience that brings guests face-to-face with the music, movies, and artistic influences that continue to inspire today’s culture.”

The exhibition explores the impact of legendary adventure films, from Atreyu’s epic quests to the mysterious allure of Darth Vader. Influential 80s pop-rock icons like Madonna, Michael Jackson, and Freddie are also front and center. Who did more than define an era; they ignited a movement of bold self-expression that still inspires artists and listeners today.

Aquellos Años Locos is designed to me more than a showcase, it’s a sensory experience. Picture neon-lit nostalgia with mixtape-worthy soundscapes. A tribute to the everyday moments that defined the decade like trading cards in the plaza, epic battles with marbles and bottle-caps, and the unforgettable soundtrack that’s still ‘bitchin’.

The exhibition is open daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at UMusic Hotel Madrid (Calle de la Paz, 11), with free entry for hotel guests and the public.
